The event is co-organized by the Eastman School of Music, Asian American Cultural Exchange Academy and Center for International Music Culture Exchange of Central Conservatory of Music and will run from Jan 29 to Feb 1.

The chairman of the organizing committee is Liu Yuening, a leading dulcimer musician and a professor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. She has dedicated herself to the cause of promoting exchange between China and the US in the music sector for years. "The key to the internationalization of Chinese dulcimer art is to integrate it with local music traditions," she said.
