Border areas in Guangxi reap benefits from tourism

With the rich greenery of grass and trees, the village looks tidy and picturesque.
Part of the land which the villagers used to grow sugarcane has been planted with fruit trees. A total of 18 kinds of fruits with different harvest seasons including dragon fruit, avocado and pawpaw have been planted. No matter the time of year, tourists will always find fresh fruit to pick.
Some 100,000 tourists visit Banxiao village annually in recent years. The annual per-capita income has increased from around 6,000 yuan ($860) to over 20,000 in 2018.
