China solicits public opinions on draft revision of pig-slaughtering regulation

BEIJING - China's Ministry of Justice has published a draft revision of a regulation governing pig-slaughtering to solicit public opinions.
The draft revision, aiming at stricter supervision over pig-slaughtering, has made stipulations to improve the current systems of checking and recording the quality of pork products and hogs transported to slaughterhouses.
As long as a slaughterhouse discovers that it has produced unqualified or unsafe pork products, it should report the case and recall the products in time, according to the draft revision.
It has made stipulations for disease prevention and control in pig-slaughtering as well as a blacklist system for the industry.
Organizations and individuals can submit their opinions on the draft revision online until Aug. 1.
