Internet integrity the focus of Xi’an conference

The China Internet Integrity Conference will focus on improving the building of the country's social credit system and preventing dishonesty in cyberspace when it is held in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on Dec 2, the nation's top internet regulator said on Thursday.
The conference, jointly held by the China Federation of Internet Societies and the provincial Cyberspace Administration, will include a main forum and three sub-forums covering the application of technologies such as big data, cloud computing and blockchain in building the social credit system.
"We'll show our ideas and ways of improving the credit system in cities of Shaanxi as well as give a picture of our developments," said Bao Yongneng, director of the Shaanxi Cyberspace Administration.
Zhao Hui, the federation's secretary-general, said a cooperation mechanism designed to make the financial industry more creditable will also to be launched during the conference.
At the last China Internet Integrity Conference, in Beijing in December, e-commerce enterprises were encouraged to make use of technologies to fight dishonesty and improve trustworthiness.
