China's e-commerce sector drives Cosmo Lady lingerie sales


China's booming e-commerce sector has helped drive sales of lingerie products for Cosmo Lady, one of the country's largest lingerie enterprises, in the first half of 2025, according to the company's half-year financial report.
The company's total gross merchandise volume of products sold through joint venture e-commerce exceeded 1.6 billion yuan ($220 million) in the first half of this year, achieving a significant year-on-year growth of 243 percent, according to the report.
In addition, the company has established about 4,500 offline physical stores across the country, helping further drive its sales during the reporting period.
According to industry research company ChinaIRN, China's lingerie market was valued at $40.7 billion in 2024, a figure expected to rise to $44.2 billion for 2025, becoming a key driver of growth in the global lingerie market.
