Chinese star's retirement called 'a very big loss for tennis'

Tennis superstar Maria Sharapova led a chorous of tributes to Li Na at the Wuhan Open on Sunday as the local hero tearfully explained to journalists her decision to retire.

The Russian world No 4 said China's 32-year-old trailblazer had a huge impact on the sport - particularly in her home country - and that she should have no regrets following her decision.
