China Network Television (CNTV) is suing an information technology company based in Beijing for breaching the copyright of their original documentary A Bite of China Season Two. They are demanding compensation of a million yuan ($161,400) for their economic losses and 50,000 yuan ($ 8,070) for the suit cost. Shi Jingshan Court has agreed to hear the case.

CNTV claimed that the technology company developed a mobile app called "A Bite of China 2" where users can watch the documentary online, without any authorization.

A Bite of China (She Jian Shang De Zhong Guo) is a Chinese documentary TV series created and aired by China Central Television. The seven-episode series introduces the history, philosophy of living and human stories behind local food in different locations in China. Once aired in 2012, it gained high ratings and nationwide popularity.
