Artist showcases love for color and common people

Dai Shihe's paintings demonstrate a passion for color and an interest in nature and daily life. Over the years, the 69-year-old has journeyed across the country when he has no classes at Beijing's Central Academy of Fine Arts, where he is a professor. His ongoing exhibition, Paint as I Want, features oil works that depict landscapes and people he meets while traveling.
