Heart-shaped power station
小島建浪漫心形發(fā)電廠
A glittering, heart-shaped solar plant is being built on the South Pacific island of New Caledonia (see photo), foreign media reported. Dubbed as "the world's most beautiful power station", the "heart" will begin producing energy for 750 homes on the French overseas territory from early 2015. Made by solar company Conergy, the 2MW "Heart of New Caledonia" is expected to save around 2m tons of carbon dioxide emissions in the 25 years following its launch.
據(jù)外媒報道，位于南太平洋的新喀里多尼亞島上正在建造一座閃閃發(fā)光的心形太陽能發(fā)電廠(見圖)。該發(fā)電廠被譽(yù)為"世界上最美麗的發(fā)電廠"，將于2015年初向這個法國海外領(lǐng)地上的750個家庭供電。這座名為"新喀里多尼亞之心"的發(fā)電廠，發(fā)電功率可達(dá)2兆瓦，由太陽能公司康能建造，有望在啟用后的25年內(nèi)減少2百萬噸二氧化碳排放量。
