Together with some teammates from the former China Basketball Association (CBA) team, Sun, a former NBA Los Angeles Lakers player of the National Basketball Association (NBA) will represent Beijing at the 12th National Games in Liaoning in late August. Olympians broke away from the CBA after failing to reach an agreement with the league to recruit Sun to play for the nation at the 2008 Olympic Games.
