The Hong Kong Jockey Club expressed its condolences on Thursday to the family of former Club trainer Eddie Lo Kwok-Chow, who passed away this afternoon in hospital.

"Eddie was a very devoted member of our team who dedicated his entire career to the welfare and racing of horses." said Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, CEO of the Jockey Club. "We are all deeply shocked to hear this news and we will be contracting his family to see if there is any help we can offer at the difficult time."

Eddie Lo, 49, obtained the Jockey's license in 1976/77 season. He was granted his full trainer's license in 1986 and heading his own stable until 2004, since then he has continued serving the Club as a guest relations officer.
