China National Tourism Administration will make efforts to curb any unreasonable hike in ticket prices at scenic spots, a tourism official said on March 23.

Some of the country's tourist sites that are expected to be selected for a betterment program soon, would be urged to have favorable ticket polices for the elderly, the disabled, students and military personnel, the official added. The purpose is to both maintain a visitor's interest in such spots and improve service quality.

The administration aims to spend the next three years upgrading China's various tourist destinations and improving sanitation.
