Partnerships for peace, progress and stability stressed

President Xi Jinping said on Saturday that regardless of changes in the international landscape, China and Kazakhstan should remain committed to good-neighborliness, open cooperation for win-win results and joint construction of a community with a shared future, and support each other on their own core interests and major concerns.
Xi made the remarks during a meeting in Tianjin with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Noting that China and Kazakhstan are strategic partners who can trust and rely on each other, Xi called on both countries to consolidate and expand all-around cooperation to elevate bilateral ties to new heights.
He also called for joint efforts to deepen multilateral coordination, strengthen the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and uphold the international system with the United Nations at the core for a fairer and more equitable international order.
Highlighting the unprecedented level of Kazakhstan-China relations, Tokayev noted the record-high trade volume between the two countries last year and the smooth progress of major cooperation projects.
He expressed Kazakhstan's willingness to continue deepening practical cooperation with China, enhance exchanges and elevate bilateral relations to a higher level.
