Christie's autumn sales in Hong Kong, which ended on Wednesday, grossed more than HK$2.62 billion ($340 million).

A Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) falangcai bowl fetched HK$85.24 million, topping the sales of antiques and other works of fine art.

The bowl is enameled with blossoming prunus trees and clumps of bamboo. It features simple grace and scholarly taste and was beloved by its owner Emperor Yongzheng, who took particular interest in the falangcai porcelain.

Another highlight was a gilt-bronze standing Buddha figure made in Nepal in the 13th century. It sold for HK$80.2 million.
